Cladding

Cladding is the panel of stone tiles of a relatively large face area that carry no load other than their own weight and that are mechanically fixed to the structure.

Structural Aspects of Design

Most typically, the stone wall system must resist lateral loads directly imparted on it, such as from wind and earthquake, as well as vertical loads resulting from the weight of the stone wall system. These loads must be transmitted through the stone wall system and secondary structural elements to the building’s structure. Other loads related to impact, construction, and transportation must also be taken into account in the design.

Important notice:
Fundamental principles which are given by standards must be strictly followed by all who are involved.
